Nollywood actor Adeniyi Johnson has come under fire for speaking out over the insecurity in the country.
On his Instagram page, he voiced his frustration over the growing insecurity, questioning why many Nigerians now live in fear. The actor pondered how the country got to its current state, noting that Nigerians were promised peace of mind but are now struggling with fear and uncertainty.
Calling on the government to do the needful, he questioned whether bandits have become more knowledgeable than the country’s military forces, noting that the insecurity is now affecting people more closely than many imagined.
“How did we get here? We didn’t sign up for these at all?
Where is the Ifokanbale (peace of mind), you promised us?
Now we can’t sleep with our eyes closed.
Are the Bandits smarter or wiser than our entire military force? Do they know Nigeria better than you do?
Ah. It’s now closer to us than we think!!
Government, please do the needful now”.

His post didn’t sit well with many who noted how he was one of those who supported the current government.
