A Nigerian lady, Tonia Umerah, has revealed a comment a married woman made under her post after she shared photos of the new curtains she had installed in her house.
In the screenshot she posted on Friday, June 3, the woman reminded Tonia that she is getting old and should “give love a chance”.
Reacting to the comment, Tonia questioned Nigeria’s obsession with marriage, adding that she might never get married.
“I posted new curtains in installed in my house in previous post and this is what this married women had to tell me,” Tonia wrote.
“Why are we obsessed with marriage in Nigeria? To be honest, I am not sure I will marry in this my life and guess what?
“Nothing will happen if I don’t marry. Marriage is not by force. Why are we obsessed with marriage in Nigeria?”
