Afrobeats star Mr Eazi has revealed that he does not plan to allow his future child to own an iPhone for at least the first year, citing concerns over unrestricted internet access and the dangers of social media.
Speaking alongside his fiancée, Temi Otedola, the singer explained that while a child may use a phone for school if necessary, he is worried about how easily young people can access inappropriate content online.
“I won’t let my child use an iPhone for at least a year. They can use it in school if needed, but I’m really scared of social media and Google because they can search for anything,” Mr Eazi said.
His comments have sparked mixed reactions online, with some agreeing that parents should closely monitor children’s digital exposure, while others argued that proper guidance is more important than restricting access to technology.
