A Nigerian pastor, Prophet Apata Joseph Enoch, has advised people not to marry ugly spouses because they won’t look good in old age.

He stated this in a Facebook post while praising his ‘fine and beautiful wife’ for ageing well.

According to him, he had wanted to marry a particular woman but God told him that he wouldn’t like her when she ages.

“I’m 54, my sweetheart 50. Don’t marry an ugly person because of old age. Open your heart and eyes,” he wrote.

“The woman I want to marry before, God told me I wouldn’t like her in her old age.

“Today, she looks like someone I can’t take pictures with. I bless God. I hear from this merciful God who knows I like a fine and beautiful wife.”
