Social media activist VeryDarkMan has stirred reactions online after criticizing the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission over its reported arrest of Nasir El-Rufai.
In a viral post, he described the agency as “the most corrupt in Nigeria,” alleging that its actions are politically motivated. He claimed that El-Rufai was not investigated while supporting Bola Tinubu during the 2023 election, but is now being targeted because of his alleged opposition to Tinubu’s possible re-election bid in 2027.
VeryDarkMan insisted that the situation proves his long-standing belief that anti-corruption enforcement in the country is selective and influenced by politics.
