The body of late veteran actor Taiwo Hassan Ogogo has finally arrived at his hometown.
Newsunplug reported on Sunday night that the actor’s daughter had announced his death in a heartbreaking live video.
Confirming the news, Jide Kosoko said Taiwo had died at 3pm on Sunday at 66 years and will be laid to rest in his hometown, Ilaro, Ogun State. According to him, special prayers will be held at the pavilion in Ilaro in honour of the deceased.
The actor’s body has finally arrived in Ilaro. In a video making rounds online, the vehicle carrying his body was seen arriving at Central Mosque, Ilaro, where many gathered to honour him.
The body was brought in around 10.00pm on Sunday in a Sienna vehicle, received by family and religious leaders, and sympathisers who gathered to pay their last respects.
According to the Chief Imam of Ilaro, Ogogo will be laid to rest today at 10am, in line with Islamic rites.
