Manchester United manager, Ruben Amorim, has three matches to save his job at the club, according to the Daily Express.

Amorim is now entering a crucial phase of his time at Old Trafford, as the upcoming games could make or mar him.

The Red Devils have picked up only four matches from their opening four Premier League fixtures.

Just last Sunday, they were thrashed 3-0 by Manchester City and their next match is at home against Chelsea.

Amorim’s men will go into the game against the Blues sitting in 14th place.

Since his appointment 10 months ago, Amorim has recorded just eight victories in 31 league matches, leading to some senior players in the dressing room turning on him.

Despite assurances from the club’s top brass that they fully support Amorim and have no plans for a managerial shake-up, it’s understood that the situation will be reviewed after the upcoming trio of fixtures.

The Chelsea match will be followed by an away game against Brentford and a clash with newly-promoted Sunderland at Old Trafford, all before the international break.
