Manchester United captain, Bruno Fernandes, on Monday, equalled one major record set by Cristiano Ronaldo for total goal involvements for the Red Devils in the Premier League.
Fernandes achieved the feat after providing an assist for Benjamin Sesko against Brentford.
Recall that Man United defeated the visitors at Old Trafford, thanks to goals from Casemiro and Sesko.
However, according to OptaJoe, Fernandes’ assist against Brentford means he has now reached 140 Premier League goal involvements ( 70 goals and 70 assists) for United, drawing level with Ronaldo’s total of 140 Premier League goal involvements (103 goals, 37 assists).
Fernandes reached this milestone in 226 games for United, 11 matches faster than his fellow Portuguese teammate.
The 31-year-old joined Man United from Sporting CP in 2020.
