Chelsea interim head coach, Calum McFarlane, has named Cole Palmer and Malo Gusto as the two players who caused Liverpool problems during both sides’ Premier League tie on Saturday.
McFarlane watched as the Blues drew 1-1 with Arne Slot’s side at Anfield.
Ryan Gravenberch and Enzo Fernandez scored the goals of the encounter as Chelsea and Liverpool got a point each.
Speaking at his post-match press conference after the game, McFarlane also said that his team was effective against the hosts.
“I think we were effective on both sides, in my honest opinion. I thought Cole [Palmer] and Malo [Gusto] caused them real problems with their rotation on the right,” McFarlane said.
“And I thought, yeah, you are right in terms of Cucurella running off the ball and finding space with great movement.”
Chelsea’s next match is against Manchester City in the FA Cup final next weekend.
