Chelsea forward, Joao Pedro, has named Arsenal’s Gabriel Magalhaes as the toughest defender he has ever faced in his career this season.
Speaking to TNT Sports Brasil, Pedro said he was surprised by Gabriel’s speed, adding that he has a great relationship with him.
Pedro and Gabriel are both international teammates with the Brazilian national football team.
“The toughest defender to play against this season? Top three: Willian Pacho and Jonathan Tah, but Gabriel Magalhaes was the toughest in my opinion,” Pedro said.
“I was surprised by his speed, but I gave him a hard time, too! He’s been inspired this season.
“We have a great relationship. I am happy he is on my side in the World Cup.”
