Former Manchester United left-back, Patrice Evra, has urged the Red Devils to sign Victor Osimhen from Galatasaray as the club closes in on a £38m deal for Atalanta’s Ederson.

Ederson is set to become Man United’s first signing under manager Michael Carrick.

However, Evra wants United to bring Osimhen to Old Trafford, insisting that the Nigerian international can make a difference.

“Victor Osimhen. I have all due respect for Galatasaray, the love he gets there and what the player is like,” Evra told GOAL.

“Manchester United need a proper striker, and I have so much respect for the strikers at Man United.

“But, back in the day, we had four amazing strikers, and if you want to play every competition, you need more strikers.

“Osimhen because I know this guy can make a difference,” he said.

Osimhen scored 22 goals for Galatasaray last season to help them win the Turkish Super Lig.
