Arsenal star, Eberechi Eze has named defender Jurrien Timber as the Gunners teammate who has gone beyond his expectations since he joined the Premier League North London club last summer.

Eze joined Arsenal from Crystal Palace during in August after the Gunners beat Tottenham Hotspur to his signature.

Speaking on GOAL‘s Beast Mode On podcast, the England international also described Timber as a special player.

“Everyone is sort of what you expect them to be,” Eze said. “The expectation of all the players is high.

“Everyone is sort of what you expect them to be,” Eze said. “The expectation of all the players is high.

“I will say one player who has gone even beyond the high expectation I already had – because I’d heard good things about him – was Jurrien Timber. He’s a special player and a special guy.”

Arsenal signed Timber from Dutch club Ajax in 2023, but he only played three games during his first season at the Emirates Stadium due to a serious injury.
