Fulham defender Calvin Bassey has named Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah as the toughest player he has ever faced in the Premier League.

The Nigerian international described Salah as an unbelievable player, adding that the Egyptian is a handful to defend against.

Bassey spoke during a ‘Best Friend Test’ interview with Sky Sports alongside his Super Eagles teammate Alex Iwobi.

“Mohamed Salah is unbelievable. He is such a baller. When you get dragged out to defend him, you are in trouble,” Bassey said while speaking about the toughest player he has faced in the English top-flight league.

“Obviously, when we play Liverpool, we usually go half man-for-man, so I will often face him directly.

“I have played against him twice, and he is always a handful.”

Bassey will hope to lead Fulham to victory when they face Aston Villa this weekend.
