Manchester United defender, Jonny Evans has opened up on the speculations that manager, Erik ten Hag could be sacked any moment.

Evens said the sack rumours about the manager is affecting the players.

Evans said that while the talks about the Dutchman’s sack get into their heads, he always tries his best on the pitch.

The former Leicester City defender added that his teammates showed spirit in their Premier League draw (0-0) against Aston Villa on Sunday.

He was happy with the overall performance but said the sack pressure on Ten Hag is affecting the players.

“That was the important thing to show the spirit in the team. Everyone competed as much as they could…That’s a pleasing thing to see.”

On rumours of Ten Hag’s sack he added, “It does affect the players. It’s on our minds too. I think the more experience I’ve got in my career I’ve made sure I do everything to be ready and give everything I can to the team.”
