Chelsea legend, Frank Lampard has urged manager Enzo Maresca to start Pedro Neto in Chelsea’s next game.

Lampard believes the Portugal international is dynamic and has shown enough to get him a starting place for Chelsea.

The former England international spoke following Chelsea’s recently Premier League 2-1 defeat to Liverpool at Anfield.

Recall that Neto, who replaced Jadon Sancho at halftime against Liverpool, was impressive during the encounter.

“I think Pedro Neto came on and added a lot, I think he probably pushed himself into a big chance of starting the next games going forward,” Lampard told Premier League Productions.

“I think he should; I think he’s dynamic and he changed it a bit from up there.

“But they are probably lacking that little bit of an edge at the top end of the pitch, really, some good stuff for them there, but in the end they will go home disappointed because at least you get something when you play like that.”

Chelsea will face Panathinaikos in the Europa Conference League on Thursday.
