Manchester United legend, Paul Scholes, has urged the Red Devils to sign Elliot Anderson from Nottingham Forest when the summer transfer window opens.
Scholes admitted that he would be very satisfied if Elliot is paired with Kobbie Mainoo in Man United’s midfield next season.
Speaking as a guest on TalkSPORT’s morning sports program, the former England midfielder said, “I admired him [Elliot Anderson] when he was still playing for Newcastle.
“But my view is that Man United needs to strengthen one or two midfielders this summer, and cannot just bring in Anderson alone.
“I would be very satisfied if the midfield next season could be Anderson paired with Mainoo.”
Manchester United will need to bring in a new midfielder in the summer because Casemiro will depart the club at the end of the season.
