Benjamin Sesko doubled their advantage before the break, as Michael Carrick’s men took control of the game.
The match was ending towards a 2-0 win until Mathias Jensen curled in an effort into the bottom corner.
United remain in third place with 51 points, three more than Liverpool who they play this weekend.
