Manchester United legend, Wayne Rooney, has identified three Red Devils players, Benjamin Sesko, Bryan Mbeumo and Matheus Cunha, as not good enough.
Recall that Man United bought Sesko, Mbeumo and Cunha in the summer of 2025 to bolster their attacking line.
However, Rooney feels the club will be deluded to believe that the attackers will lead them to win trophies this season.
“They are deluded if they think the front three [Sesko, Mbeumo and Cunha] that they have brought in are good enough; they are not,” Rooney said to Stick To United while dismissing Man United’s chances of competing for trophies this season.
“They are bringing players in from Wolves, from Brentford, the squad is absolutely a million miles away from being champions.”
Man United sit close to the relegation zone after winning just one out of their eight Premier League matches this season.
Michael Carrick’s side will face Chelsea in the Premier League at Stamford Bridge this weekend.
