Newcastle United legend, Alan Shearer has predicted some of the FA Cup fifth round matches taking place this weekend.

Shearer predicted Newcastle United to beat Manchester City on Saturday night at St. James’ Park.

The Englishman also backed Chelsea and Arsenal to win their matches against Wrexham and Mansfield Town, respectively.

Providing his prediction for Metro, Shearer said, “I guess Mikel Arteta will make changes, but I even think with the changes that come in, they’ll still have the quality. I don’t see a shock at Mansfield, no, I think Arsenal will go through with ease. Prediction – Arsenal.”

On the Wrexham vs Chelsea game, Shearer said, “It’ll be absolutely rocking on Saturday at the Racecourse Ground. I think whatever team he puts out, I think they’ll still have enough to beat Wrexham. Prediction – Chelsea.

Commenting on the Newcastle vs Man City tie, Shearer added, “It’ll be tight, it always is, but I think Newcastle might have enough to get through. Prediction – Newcastle.”
