Activist Israel Joe has released new WhatsApp conversations allegedly between the late Favour Agbro and content creator Odogwu Asaba, following her tragic suicide.
Joe, who spearheaded the public petition leading to Odogwu Asaba’s arrest, released fresh screenshots of a conversation that reportedly occurred after the alleged assault. In the exchange, Odogwu Asaba dismissed the 20-year-old victim’s grievances, accusing her of “blackmail.” He further claimed he was unfazed by her threats, explicitly stating he would withhold any financial assistance unless she “does the right thing.”
The release of these messages follows a viral video made by Agbro prior to taking her own life. In the recording, she alleged that the content creator invited her to Asaba under the pretense of teaching her how to monetize her social media accounts. According to her statement, once they arrived at the hotel, the suspect physically assaulted and r@ped her. Driven by severe distress and the perceived shame surrounding the incident, Agbro subsequently committed suicide. The police investigation into the matter remains ongoing following the suspect’s arrest.
Posting the conversation online, Joe wrote;
‘’The said Favour didn’t requested money from him as a settlement at all. I will not be tempted to post their full conversation because certain evidences are reserved for court prosecution.
She was referring to the same man disturbing her to come to Abuja where she sorted the advise of Odogwu whom she saw as a big brother before he diverted her using the opportunity that he would teach her content. He already heard she was a virgin and the ediot wanted that experience.
Favour was saying if it was that man who forcefully took her virginity and she was bleeding like the way she was, that man wouldn’t have given her less than 50k to treat herself. But still, I would not be blaming anyone for their thoughts and analysis based on the few conversations they read. The full conversation is with the Nigeria Police Force.
If you saw the full conversation between them, you can take a gųŋ and fire Odogwu Asaba. In a voicenote to him, Favour was begging him that she doesn’t want to bring him down, her twinny and parents are aware but she wants to treat her uneasy body and the bleeding is making her weak but the goat Odogwu was busy threatening and intimidating her.” Joe wrote as he posted the screenshot
