Isaac Fayose has questioned the size of the convoy of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Nyesom Wike, amid the Federal Government’s call for Nigerians to manage the current economic situation.
Fayose expressed concern over the number of vehicles in Wike’s convoy during his visit to Port Harcourt, Rivers State.
According to him, the amount of fuel that would be consumed by such a large convoy raises questions, especially at a time when Nigerians are being encouraged to cut down on expenses.
“FG is telling us to manage but take a look at Wike’s convoy in PH, look at the amount of cars. Imagine the amount of fuel those cars will consume for an ordinary Minister”
His comment has drawn attention to the contrast between the government’s calls for Nigerians to manage their resources and the expenses associated with the movements of top government officials.
Fayose’s remarks come amid ongoing public discussions over government spending, fuel costs and the economic challenges facing Nigerians.
