The Kaduna State Police command has successfully rescued three k!dnap victims after spending forty (40) days in captivity.

According to the command’s spokesperson, DSP Mansir Hassan, the police while acting on intelligence received, stormed a suspected band!ts’ hideout. Upon sighting the advancing security operatives, the bandits fled the scene, abandoning the victims who were subsequently rescued unharmed.

Hassan gave the names of the rescued victims as Ekechikwu Omale, Ummi Salisu of Kudan Local Government Area and Pastor Daniel Tanko Bawa of Tufa Village, Niger State.

Following their rescue, the victims were taken to the Police Clinic for medical examination and treatment before being reunited with their families.

In the course of the investigation, five suspected informants linked to the k!dnapping syndicate were arrested.

‘’Preliminary investigation revealed that the suspects allegedly provided information and logistical support to the kidnappers. During interrogation, the suspects confessed to their involvement in the crime.” he said

He added that investigation is ongoing with a view to apprehending other members of the criminal network and bringing all those involved to justice.
