Men of the Delta state police command have arrested a fraudster who hypnotises victims and robs them of their possessions.
In a video shared online, the suspect while being interrogated, recounted how he pretended to be a stranger and hypnotized a young lady after asking for directions to a place. He stated that he and his accomplice successfully hypnotized the young lady, withdrew N124,000 from her account and ordered her to go home and bring her aunt’s gold jewellery.
Posting the video of the suspect being interrogated, the spokesperson of the command, SP Bright Edafe, wrote;
‘’Have you ever encountered people who pretend to be strangers and looking for direction? And they end up doing one or two fetish things and before you say jack, they convince you to give them all your money and belongings, you only get yourself when they disappear. Well, we have arrested one of them. Pls, listen to how they do it. He said “If he dey enjoy the life of fraud make him die”
