A Nigerian makeup artiste and friend of Mayowa Lambe, ex-wife of OAP, Roby Ekpo, has come out to defend the media personality amidst the drama that has ensued the former couple’s separation.
In the interview, he painted a picture of Mayowa never telling him she was done with their marriage. Roby in the interview alleged he was still sending money to Mayowa not knowing she had already started seeing someone else..
In a post shared on her IG page, Jennifer stated that Roby knew that his marriage to Mayowa had long ended. She also stated that the money he was sending to Mayowa were for ‘Ajo,’ a local savings scheme in which a group of individuals save a fixed amount of money daily, weekly, or monthly. Jennifer said the money Roby was sending was towards paying his rent and that this has been their practice from 2018 till date.
Jennifer claimed that the Whatsapp message Roby showed during the interview was sent to another friend in 2017. She stated that the Whatsapp message was not something hidden from Roby. According to her, the perdon Mayowa was chatting with got scared that she was on the verge of walking out of her marriage. She said the person immediately alerted Mayowa’s family who then called for a meeting which had Roby in attendance.
Jennifer stated that contrary to Roby’s claim of Mayowa chasing him, he was the one who ‘’like bombed” Mayowa’s post after which he sent her his numbers. She stated that it was Mayowa who paid for their house rentand paid for his flight from Calabar to Lagos to have him live with her.
She then claimed that both families were aware of the dissolution of their traditional marriage. She went on to allege the Roby is battling with Hepatitis B.
