Glasgow Warriors secured a hard-fought victory over Bulls to reach the Champions Cup quarter-finals in a tense, weather-affected clash.

Played in heavy wind and rain, the match was a physical battle, with Bulls initially taking control thanks to territorial dominance and Handre Pollard’s accurate kicking. Glasgow responded with first-half tries from Max Williamson and Jack Dempsey but still trailed 14-12 at the break.

In the second half, Glasgow showed greater attacking intent, opting for risky plays instead of easy penalty kicks.

This approach paid off when Patrick Schickerling scored a crucial try, followed shortly by Stafford McDowall extending their lead. Bulls mounted a late comeback through Marco van Staden, narrowing the gap and setting up a tense finish.

However, Adam Hastings sealed the win with a late penalty, securing a narrow four-point victory for Glasgow.

The match highlighted a contrast in styles, with Bulls relying on power and structure while Glasgow played with ambition and flair.

Despite strong resistance from Bulls, Glasgow’s bold decisions and resilience proved decisive. They now advance to face Toulon in their first home quarter-final of the competition.
