Nollywood actress and filmmaker Bimbo Ademoye has expressed deep gratitude and relief after winning a prolonged copyright dispute involving her YouTube film, Where Love Lives.

Taking to Instagram on Monday, Ademoye thanked her mother, friends, creative collaborators, and her devoted online supporters whom she affectionately calls her “cyber family”—for their unwavering support in ensuring that the infringing content was taken down.

She credited her mother for relentlessly pursuing the matter until it was resolved and appreciated colleagues who stood by her throughout the process. Ademoye also praised her fans for mass-reporting the infringing uploads until they were removed from all platforms.

Describing their support as overwhelming, the actress said the experience reaffirmed her faith and left her feeling joyful and protected by a fiercely loyal digital community.

The dispute reportedly began when an individual using the fake alias Emmanuel Davies falsely claimed copyright over a song featured in Where Love Lives. Although the track is fully owned by Ademoye and was used with the artist’s consent, it was allegedly uploaded to streaming platforms such as Spotify under Davies’ name as composer
