Nollywood actor Bucci Franklin has shared a deeply emotional reflection on the loss of his mother, urging people to cherish their parents while they are still alive.
According to GistLover, the actor made the revelation during an interview with Chude, where he spoke openly about grief, love, and the importance of family bonds.
He explained that losing someone so dear to him completely changed his perspective on life and helped him understand the depth of true love. In his words, grief is often a reflection of how deeply a person was loved, noting that many people only realize the extent of their feelings after experiencing loss.
Bucci revealed that his mother was the most important person in his life, adding that her passing left a lasting emotional wound. He also reflected on how she played a major role in his upbringing and helped shape the man he has become today, becoming visibly emotional as he remembered her influence and presence.
The actor used the opportunity to advise people not to let busy schedules, misunderstandings, or family issues prevent them from staying connected with their parents. He emphasized that even in imperfect relationships, effort should still be made to reach out and maintain communication.
He encouraged people to show love in simple ways through calls, conversations, and intentional time together warning that there may come a time when people deeply long for such moments with their parents again.
His words…“My mom raised me right. I’ve come to understand that grief is a sign that you really did understand the meaning of love. So, you must lose someone before you know you can love. The most important person in my life… I lost that person.
“My advice to everybody that has a parent, whether your parent is useless or not, find time, reach out to them. Call them, make them laugh, because a time will come when you will wish you had the opportunity to just play with them again.”
