Kikelomo Abati, the wife of veteran journalist Dr. Reuben Abati, recently opened up about her past relationships, revealing that she experienced two divorces before finding fulfillment in her current marriage.

In an interview on The Morayo Show, Mrs. Abati spoke candidly about the challenges she faced in her previous marriages and the valuable lessons they taught her.

She shared that her first marriage ended after a shocking revelation: she discovered her husband was gay, something he had kept hidden before they tied the knot. “For a woman who has been divorced twice, I first married a gay man without knowing. Let me put it out there,” she said. Her disclosure has sparked widespread discussion online, with many expressing sympathy for the emotional pain she endured.

Her second marriage, she explained, was fraught with difficulties as well. Mrs. Abati described her former husband as both abusive and unfaithful, calling him “the biggest philanderer and abuser.” She said the combination of betrayal and mistreatment eventually led to the marriage’s collapse.

Despite the hardships, she emphasized that she does not regret either relationship. In fact, she considers the experiences invaluable, as they brought her the greatest blessings of her life her children.

Reflecting on her journey, Mrs. Abati noted that the challenges of her past marriages helped shape her character and prepared her to recognize and cherish true love. Today, she describes her life as peaceful and stable, grateful for the lessons learned along the way.
