Nigerian personality, Gilmore has advised people to embrace their imperfections and pursue success without allowing fear of public judgement to stop them.
Gilmore shared the advice while recounting how a friend discouraged him from posting a video because he was sweating under his armpits while wearing his uniform.
According to him, he refused to let the criticism stop him, insisting that he had every right to sweat while working towards his goals.
He said, “I said guy let me sweat for armpit. The level I am no I suppose dey sweat.”
Gilmore speaks on his journey with different iPhones
Reflecting on his journey, Gilmore revealed that he had used several iPhone models, from the iPhone 7 to the iPhone 17 Pro, and hoped to upgrade to the iPhone 18.
He explained that people often want to achieve perfection immediately instead of allowing themselves to grow through different stages of life.
Gilmore said, “I use Iphone 7, 8, XR, 11, 13, 15, now I’m using 17pro, I’ll soon use 18. But all that no be quantum leap.”
He added that people should not allow embarrassment to prevent them from pursuing opportunities, arguing that progress often requires people to put themselves out there despite their imperfections.
Gilmore urges Nigerians to hustle without shame
Gilmore also criticised the reluctance some people feel about openly asking for help when they are struggling financially.
He said, “It’s only in Nigeria that people are poor and proud. You’re hungry you cannot say bro abeg I’m hungry o you go help me?”
He further declared, “Hustle shamelessly!”
His comments highlight the pressure people face to appear successful even when they are still working towards their goals.
Gilmore’s message encourages people to embrace their current circumstances, seek help when necessary and keep working towards their ambitions without waiting for everything to be perfect.
