Nollywood actress Ruth Kadiri has shared how she met her husband, revealing that she felt a spiritual confirmation that he would eventually become her life partner the very first day they met.
Speaking in a recent interview with DANG, she explained that she never grew up feeling pressured about marriage and was not someone who spent time imagining or fantasizing about getting married.
She said:
“I’ve never really been the girl who sits down and thinks about marriage. It wasn’t a thing for me. I didn’t even know whether I was going to marry. I knew I was a catch and anyone that was going to marry me was going to be lucky,”
The screenwriter recounted that they first met at work when he approached her and tried to start a conversation. Although she was not initially interested, she eventually allowed the interaction to continue, and they ended up talking about business opportunities, including importation and Vietnam.
She further revealed that just as she was about leaving, she felt a strong spiritual message confirming he was her future husband. Interestingly, she said she still went ahead to block him two days later, but he later made efforts to find her again.
“As I was about to walk away, the Spirit of God told me he’s my husband. Two days later, I blocked him, but he went the extra mile to find me. Four months later, he proposed to me and I accepted,” she added.
Ruth Kadiri also noted that she was already in another relationship at the time before eventually agreeing to go on a date with him. She added that openly sharing parts of her relationship journey helped her stay committed throughout the process.
