Former Barcelona defender, Samuel Umtiti, has hit back at Kylian Mbappe after the Real Madrid attacker claimed centre-back is the easiest position in football.
Mbappe recently became a major topic of discussion after he undermined the importance of the centre-back position.
The France captain said, “The easiest position in football? In my opinion, it’s centre-back. You are covered from all sides.”
Speaking on the development, Umtiti disagreed with Mbappe’s comments.
He said on RMC Sport (via GOAL): “I don’t understand why he said that; Kylian knows this very well.
“I think I will have a word with him about it! That’s what strikers often say. In defence, it’s completely different.
“You make one mistake, and you pay for it immediately, so it is not necessarily the easier position.”
