Lola Omotayo Okoye, the wife of music star Peter Okoye, has called out MAC Centre in Lekki over poor customer service.
Sharing her experience in a social media post, she said it was one of the worst customer service experiences she has had in a really long time.
Lola said she felt unwelcomed, disappointed, and deeply dissatisfied. According to her, the slow service and nonchalant attitude made her feel as though her presence was an inconvenience.
The mother of two urged management to take her feedback seriously, noting that customers should feel welcomed, respected, and valued.
“My experience today at the MAC Centre ( Apple’s authorised sales and service provider) in Lekki was one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had in a really long time. I left feeling unwelcome, 😞 noted, and deeply dissatisfied. The slow service and nonchalant attitude made me feel as though my presence was an inconvenience.
As a business owner, it reminded me of an important lesson: the people you employ become the face of your business.
People may not remember what you said, but they will definitely remember how you made them feel.
Their attitude can build trust or undo everything you have worked hard to create.
A great product, a beautiful store, and a solid business plan cannot make up for customers feeling poorly treated.
Hiring for character, training for service, and holding staff accountable deserve as much attention as sales and profit.
Business owners must pay attention to how customers are treated, especially when they are not there to see it. Póor service that is not addressed can cost a business repeat customers, referrals, and revenue.
I hope the management takes this feedback seriously.
Customers should feel welcome, respected, and valued.
That is a basic expectation”
