Nigerian singer Peruzzi has stirred conversations online after admitting that he ghosted his girlfriend shortly after meeting music star Davido and experiencing a completely different lifestyle.
Speaking during a recent conversation, Peruzzi revealed that his life changed rapidly after linking up with Davido, leading him to abandon his relationship at the time.
“I ghosted my girlfriend after meeting Davido. I flew with him to Dubai and the next day, Lebanon. I was enjoying something that had never happened to me in my life,” he said.
The statement quickly triggered mixed reactions on social media, with many Nigerians debating whether fame and sudden success often change people’s relationships and priorities.
Some users defended Peruzzi, describing Davido as a destiny helper whose influence transformed the singer’s career and lifestyle.
“Peruzzi met his destiny helper and his life changed. God bless OBO,” one user wrote.
Others, however, criticized the singer for abandoning his girlfriend, arguing that the reaction would have been harsher if a woman had acted similarly.
