Nigerian singer Fola has opened up about missing the simple pleasures of life before fame, revealing that he sometimes misses going to viewing centres to watch football matches.
The singer explained that being a superstar comes with certain challenges, including losing the freedom to enjoy everyday activities without attracting attention.
FOLA, who described himself as a football fan, said he supports both Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo, adding that his love for the game has made him appreciate different qualities in the two football legends.
He said:
“I miss going to the viewing centre to watch football. Being a superstar is not easy. 💔 If you go to the viewing centre to watch football, you will relate. I’m a fan of Messi and Ronaldo. I’ve watched football to the point where I love things about both of them.”
His remarks may resonate with football lovers who enjoy gathering at viewing centres to watch matches, discuss their favourite players and share the excitement of the game with fellow supporters.
The singer’s comments also offer a glimpse into the personal sacrifices that can come with fame, as activities that once felt ordinary may become more difficult for celebrities who attract public attention.
