Nigerian social media personality Peller has sparked online reactions after revealing the high cost and strict entry requirements he experienced during a recent trip to the Maldives.

Speaking about his travel experience, Peller disclosed that he spent about ₦30 million on the luxury getaway. According to him, the expenses covered flights, accommodation, and other premium services during his stay in the island nation.

He further claimed that despite the huge amount spent on the trip, he was still required to present a significant amount of money at the point of entry. In his words, he said:

“I spent ₦30 million on my trip to the Maldives, and still had to show $10,000 cash just to enter the country.”

The statement has since generated mixed reactions on social media, with many users expressing surprise at both the cost of the vacation and the strict financial entry checks he described. Some users questioned the requirement, while others debated the luxury nature of the Maldives as a travel destination often associated with high-spending tourists.

The Maldives remains one of the world’s most expensive holiday destinations, known for its private island resorts, overwater villas, and premium tourist services that attract celebrities and wealthy travelers from across the globe.

Peller’s comments add to ongoing conversations online about luxury travel, immigration checks, and the rising cost of international tourism for Nigerian travelers.
