Apostle Arome Osayi has sparked reactions after stressing that ministers of the Gospel must maintain a godly character and live above reproach.
Speaking on the conduct expected of Christian ministers, the preacher insisted that anyone serving as a minister or elder in the church must demonstrate a high standard of character.
He also recalled challenging anyone who believed he had engaged in sexual misconduct to come forward publicly and expose him.
“It is only a man who has not studied the Bible who will lose. How many of you heard my cry when I lifted up my hand and said, ‘If I have slept with anyone in the whole world, rise up on social media and disgrace me, because I am a minister.’
“A minister of the Gospel, an elder, must be flawless in character. Your character must be without flaws,” he said.
His remarks have generated mixed reactions on X, with some users questioning his approach to defending his reputation.
