Deacon Famous has blamed Nigeria’s high rate of unemployment and idleness for the attention Nigerians have given to content creator OGB’s newly acquired Lamborghini.
Reacting to the controversy surrounding the luxury car, he questioned why Nigerians were spending so much time investigating whether the vehicle was original or fake, with some reportedly contacting a Lamborghini dealer in America to verify its authenticity and checking its alignment.
He said, “OGB Bought a Lamborghini, And Nigerians Are The Ones Helping Him Analyse Whether It’s Original Or Fake. Some Even Went As Far As Calling a Lamborghini Dealer In America To Verify Its Authenticity, While Others Helped Him Check Its Alignment.
“I Blame This On The High Rate Of Unemployment And Idleness In The Country. If People Had Jobs And Were Busy Making a Living, They Wouldn’t Have This Much Time To Invest In Such Things.
“Look At China And America, Where Many People Are Busy Working In Factories, Building Businesses, And Making Something Meaningful Out Of Their Lives. It’s Only In Nigeria That Something Like This Can Become a National Trend. What a Country!”
His comments have sparked mixed reactions on X, with some users agreeing that unemployment contributes to misplaced priorities, while others questioned why he made a video about the same issue he criticised Nigerians for discussing.
