APC chieftain, Joe Igbokwe, says he was at the Ladipo market to buy some spare parts for his car yesterday June 5 and that the the traders at the market mostly of Igbo extraction, tried to provoke him. Videos shared online showed the traders booing him and calling him unprintable names. Social media was awash with reports that he was ‘’beaten up’ by the traders.

In a video he shared online this afternoon, Igbokwe denied he was beaten. He went further to say that if they had attacked him, the market may be closed for one years, saying Lagos is not South East.
