Former Big Brother Naija housemate Ike Onyema has revealed that he prefers living in Nigeria to the United States, despite admitting that making money is more difficult in Nigeria.
Speaking during a recent interview, the reality TV star said Nigeria offers a level of freedom he enjoys, even though earning a living is easier in the US.
“I prefer Nigeria to the US because of the freedom to do anything you want there, but it’s harder to make money in Nigeria than in the US.”
Ike also reflected on his time in the BBNaija house, admitting that he misunderstood how the reality show worked. According to him, he focused on winning tasks instead of connecting emotionally with viewers.
“I regret not crying when I went for BBNaija; I didn’t know it was all an emotional game. I thought if I went & won all my challenges, I’d win the money.”
He further disclosed that despite winning several tasks in the house, he earned only ₦3 million from the show.
“I made only 3M naira from BBNaija with all the challenges I won; I dated one girl in the BBNaija house, and I enjoyed it while it lasted.”
