Pastor Paul Adefarasin has expressed that, although he hopes Nigeria never experiences a full-scale war, he is personally ready if such a situation were to occur.

His comments come in the wake of repeated attacks by bandits in several parts of the country, resulting in abductions and killings that have drawn international attention.

Addressing the growing security challenges, Adefarasin described Nigeria as being caught in a broader struggle between global civilizations.

He emphasized that while he prays the nation avoids war, he remains prepared for any eventuality.

The pastor also voiced hope that diplomatic initiatives could eventually eradicate terrorism in Nigeria, though he stressed that this would require careful planning and effective negotiation.

At the same time, he cautioned that direct negotiations with terrorists are not a recommended approach.

Adefarasin’s statements come amid rising public concern over insecurity, a surge in attacks in various regions, and debates about Nigeria’s readiness to handle potential escalations.

His words …

“I certainly hope that Nigeria doesn’t have to go to war, but I’m ready for it. Can’t discuss those things because there is still dialogue going on and it is two civilizations globally fighting, Nigeria is just one of the fronts. I hope the dialogue works and expunge terrorism from Nigeria perpetually. It is going to take a lot of brain and negotiation, but I really don’t think you should negotiate with terrorists.”
