Former senator Dino Melaye has made a return to social media following the backlash he received over his outfit at the recent ADC 2026 convention held in Abuja.
Reports noted that the former lawmaker attended the political event wearing a black shirt, a cap, sunglasses, and noticeably oversized flowing tan trousers. His appearance quickly became a topic of online discussion, with some social media users accusing him of turning the gathering into a display of fashion rather than politics.
In response to the criticism, Melaye posted a video showing himself stepping out of his upscale home and heading towards a fleet of luxury cars, including a black SUV and a red sports car.
He accompanied the post with a caption that highlighted his confidence in divine support over public opinion and criticism.
“Worry not about man… Only what God permit will happen. In God I trust,” he wrote.
