Big Brother Naija former housemate Sheggz has set the record straight on misinterpretations of his statement about the breakup with Bella Okagbue.
Newsunplug reported that Sheggz confirmed their breakup, making it clear that he didn’t cheat on her and has been single since January 2026. He revealed that their relationship ended in January 2026 and attempts to reconcile afterwards were futile.
The reality star said he genuinely wanted the relationship to work and even went so far as to purchase a ring. He added that he understands Bella’s family may have their own feelings about the situation, and he respects them.
In a post on one of his social media pages, he said he has seen the conversations and interpretations circulating online and wants to clarify that it was never his intention to accuse or portray Bella as unfaithful. He said his statement was to provide context from his perspective for their genuine fans and supporters.
Sheggz said he and Bella shared mutual respect and genuine love for each other while it lasted. He noted how, like every relationship, they had their ups and downs, and what happened between them shouldn’t be reduced to speculation or accusations of cheating.
“I have seen the conversations and interpretations circulating on social media following my recent statement.
I want to clarify that it was never my intention to accuse or portray Bella as an unfaithful woman. My previous statement was to provide context from my perspective for the genuine fans and supporters who have stood by us through the years.
We shared mutual respect and genuine love for each other while it lasted. Like every relationship, including marriages, we had our ups and downs.
What happened between us should not be reduced to speculation or accusations of cheating against either party. Some matters are best left private and respected as such.
I sincerely thank our genuine fans, friends and supporters for their love throughout our journey.
I respectfully ask for your understanding and respect for our mutual decision to move forward separately, while continuing to maintain a cordial relationship.
