The Executive Chairman of Ungogo Local Government Area, Alhaji Tijjani Amiru Binyaminu (Khadimul Ummah), has ordered the immediate closure of Al-Hadeed Private School in Inusawa town, until further notice.
This follows allegations of abuse and s3xual molestation involving four female pupils of the school, allegedly committed by one of their teachers.
He further emphasized that the Local Government Council, under his leadership, will remain fully committed to ensuring justice for these children by seeing that the accused teacher is punished according to the law, following his arraignment.
The teacher identified simply as Kamal was arraigned before a magistrate’s court on Monday for s3xually abusing minors, all siblings: 7 year-old Hassana, Hussaina,Gambo and their 5 year-old sister.
Prosecution counsel, Badamasi Gandu, told the court that doctors have confirmed that the children were s3xually assaulted before the suspect was brought to the court.
The teacher was remanded in a correctional facility and the case adjourned to June 6.
