Barcelona have submitted an official €100 million offer to Atlético Madrid for Julian Alvarez.
This offer is understood to be a straight cash proposal with no add-ons and no players included.
According to football transfer expert, Fabrizio Romano, Atletico have reacted negatively to the approach over the past 24 hours.
They are unhappy about both the timing and the structure of the offer.
Despite that, the situation remains open as no agreement has been reached between the two clubs.
Romano wrote on X, “Barcelona send first official proposal to Atlético Madrid for Julián Álvarez worth €100m. No add-ons, no players involved. Atlético, not happy about the situation over last 24h — but Julián has already asked to leave.”
