Former Minister of Aviation, Hadi Sirika, has claimed that late President Muhammadu Buhari left the economy flourishing when he left office in May 2023.

Sirika said this when he appeared on Arise TV today, July 13.

‘’President Buhari had done extremely well on the economy. I am not an economist, but I do know so because I have been in the country and also been in the government. I have seen that the country at the time was in a much better state at the time, both in terms of the economy and the education sector.

I believe President Buhari left behind a country that was flourishing. However, I’m neither President Buhari nor President Tinubu, so I cannot fully comment on the policies they made or the decisions they took while in office. I don’t think it would be fair for me to sit here and criticize policies” he said

Late Buhari served as the President of Nigeria from May 29, 2015, to May 29, 2023. He passed away on July 13, 2025. NigerianNews Updates
