Paris Saint-Germain forward, Ousmane Dembele, won the French league’s best player award for the second time in his career on Monday.
The 2025/26 Ligue 1 award ceremony was conducted by the National Union of Professional Football Players, UNFP, in Paris.
Speaking after receiving the award, Dembele said, “It’s an individual trophy, but all the individual trophies I’ve won are thanks to this team”.
The 28-year-old last year succeeded fellow countryman, Kylian Mbappe, who won the prize five times in a row before leaving PSG for Real Madrid.
Meanwhile, the award for best young player went to Dembele’s teammate Desire Doue.
Also, Pierre Sage picked up the honors for best coach after establishing Lens as a direct challenger to PSG in the Ligue 1 this season.
Similarly, Lens’ Robin Risser won the Best Goalkeeper award in the league, while Michael Olise of Bayern Munich won the award for the Best French Player Abroad 2026.
