A limousine driver who featured in Post Malone’s 2020 hit music video, Tommy Lee, has dragged the rapper to court, claiming he was never paid for his role in the shoot.

The driver, identified as Larry Deuel, filed a lawsuit against Post Malone, his collaborator Tyla Yaweh, and Sony Music Entertainment, demanding over $10 million in damages.

According to court documents obtained by Daily Mail, Deuel, a high school teacher who also worked as a limo driver at the time, was hired to drive the duo to Malone’s ranch for the video shoot. But upon arrival, he said he was asked to appear in the video — a move he agreed to after being told he would be “taken care of.”

In the Tommy Lee video, Deuel is seen rolling out a red carpet, opening the car door for Yaweh, and standing beside the limousine as the musicians perform. He appears several times throughout the video, which has now garnered over 97 million views on YouTube.

However, Deuel claims he was never paid or even asked to consent to the use of his image and likeness in the project.

The suit argues that his role was crucial to the video’s portrayal of luxury and success, saying:

“Absent Mr. Deuel’s presence in Tommy Lee, the theme of wealth, power, fame, privilege, and success would have been visually underwhelming — supported only by two unkempt musicians smoking blunts and riding ATVs in a dirt field.”

Deuel is suing for misappropriation of likeness, fraudulent inducement, and breach of contract, claiming Malone and Yaweh never intended to pay him despite their promises.

The lawsuit also alleges that Deuel made several attempts to resolve the issue privately, but when his lawyer tried to serve Post Malone a legal letter in August 2025, the rapper’s security allegedly “laughed and refused to accept service.”

Deuel is now seeking at least $2.5 million in principal damages, $7.5 million in punitive damages, and $25,000 in legal fees, insisting his contribution helped fuel the video’s massive success across platforms like Spotify, YouTube Music, and SoundCloud.

Neither Post Malone nor Tyla Yaweh has publicly responded to the lawsuit as of press time.
