A man who was apprehended while allegedly trying to steal a car in broad daylight in Ghana, has claimed he was only testing the vehicle.

The incident occurred at Ashaiman-Zenu Container Junction.

According to eyewitness accounts, the suspect was seen tampering with the parked vehicle when residents in the area became suspicious of his action.

Within moments, a crowd gathered and confronted him.

As tension escalated, the man was overpowered by the angry crowd, who subjected him to severe beating.

In a video circulating online, the suspect is seen pleading with onlookers, claiming he was “only testing the car” and had no intention of stealing it.
