A Nigerian man has gone online to lament after a popular TikTok personality allegedly transferred ₦1 million to him for calling out his name to American streamer IShowSpeed, only for the payment to be reversed moments later.
The incident reportedly happened during IShowSpeed’s ongoing African tour marking his 21st birthday. The streamer recently arrived in Lagos, where he was seen touring several streets and neighbourhoods under heavy security.
According to reports, TikTok star Peller had tried to get close to IShowSpeed for a possible collaboration but was turned away by the streamer’s security team.
Amid the crowd and excitement, a man was heard loudly calling out Peller’s name and asking for a collaboration as IShowSpeed passed by.
The man claimed that shortly after the shout, he received a ₦1 million credit alert, which he believed was sent by Peller as a reward for mentioning his name.
However, the joy did not last long.
He later alleged that the money was reversed, leaving him shocked and confused.
Taking to social media, the man shared videos and screenshots, explaining that he had already celebrated the alert before discovering that the funds had been withdrawn.
He appealed directly to Peller to intervene and resend the money if it was sent in error.
The episode has since triggered mixed reactions online, with many users finding humour in the situation, while others expressed sympathy and hoped Peller would respond to the plea.
