A yet-to-be identified man was on Tuesday apprehended by a group of youths in Gboko, Benue State, over allegations of engaging in a same-s3x relationship.
According to a video circulating on social media, the man was accused of travelling from Lagos to Gboko to visit a man he has been chatting with online.
The incident has sparked conversations across the community, with some residents warning the youths against engaging in mob action and public shaming.
Activist Zege Orkwande, who shared the video, called on the youths to hand the man over to the police.
“So, this our Benue brother was apprehended in Gboko by angry youths. He’s suspected of HO MO SEXU ALITY. According to the video, he came all the way from Lagos to Gboko to visit another man.
